About PinRank
PinRank is an independent, one-person project. It exists because Pinterest SEO tools are either genuinely great but paid, or free but buried in login walls and upsells. There should be a fast, free way to find keywords, write a description, and check a pin before you publish — so I built one.
What PinRank is
- A free keyword idea generator — type a seed, get long-tail Pinterest-style keywords grouped by intent.
- A pin SEO score — paste your title and description and see, before you publish, whether they actually contain searchable terms.
- A description writer — keyword-optimized description drafts you can tweak and post.
- 79 free guides — a blog covering Pinterest SEO, keywords, growth and monetization, written to be specific and honest rather than hyped.
The principles
- Free and instant. No login, no signup wall, no trial countdown. Open the page, use the tool.
- Private by design. Everything runs in your browser. What you type is never uploaded, and PinRank never logs into or scrapes your Pinterest account. (Full details in the privacy policy.)
- Honest about limits. The competition estimate is a heuristic from phrase patterns, not live Pinterest data — the tool says so right under the results. Where a paid tool like PinClicks or Tailwind genuinely does more, our guides say that too.
What's next
A Chrome extension that scores pins right inside the Pinterest pin builder is in review on the Chrome Web Store. Live search volume and rank tracking are on the roadmap — the free tools will stay free.
